Adults. A screening of WMHT's latest documentary, "Inside the Writers Institute". Over 1,000 authors have visited the New York State Writers Institute in the 35 years since it was founded at UAlbany by Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist William Kennedy. The Institute offers many programs including a visiting writers series, film series, young writers program, and community workshops. In this documentary we learn about the origins of the Writers Institute and how it has contributed to the arts community. The screening will be followed by a brief presentation and informal Q and A session led by Michael Huber of the NYS Writers Institute at the University at Albany.
