This is a new author. I really liked the book. The more you read the book, the more you think you have the plot figured out, but it keeps changing as the pages are turned. You really don't know the full story until the last page. It will keep you thinking! Surprise ending. Angela is kidnapped in her teens, and three years later the police find her and her one-year-old son she had while being held captive. She meets a professor named Jason and they marry. Their perfect life begins to unravel when two women accuse him of inappropriate behavior.

Sydney marries a second time to a wealthy man and loses everything when he suddenly dies because he never changed his will, leaving everything to his daughters. The daughters give Sydney 30 days to get out of the house with just her clothes and a few gifts that he gave her. She finds a job as a designer but puts to much trust in her boss. He sends her to Hong Kong to buy knockoff purses, but little does she know that he has been smuggling stolen goods into the United States for quite a while and leaves her to take the blame when she goes through customs at the airport.

Once you get started with this author's books, you HAVE to get more.
A nice read. Family-friendly. No smut or inappropriate language.
I liked that it took me away for a few moments each time I picked it up. This book is about a man who spends the Christmas holiday confronting his difficult past when he has to clean out his deceased mother's house. During this time he receives an unexpected visitor looking for answers.

Christmas novels are my favorite. Simple, romantic stories with nice imagery and content.
The two main characters are very different from each other which adds interest to the story. Can a power player and a no-frills country girl make it work?

These two stories do not follow the typical pattern of a holiday novel. These stories show the pain a holiday can bring. I whipped through them both.
