Friends of the Library Plant Swap n' Sale

Calling all Gardeners! On the morning of Saturday, June 1st, the Friends will be sponsoring a Plant Swap and Sale under the roof of the Library porch from 10 am until 2 pm. Area gardeners will be able to bring perennial plants that have been thinned from home gardens, extras of annual seedlings, or gardening related books or magazines to the Library to swap for plants from other gardeners or to donate for sale to folks who are just beginning to garden. Managing Your Child's Challenging Behaviors

Class 1 Computer Basics - A very basic course demonstrating computer fundamentals, terminology, use of the mouse and generally working in the MICROSOFT WINDOWS® operating system environment.
Class 2 Internet Basics - New Internet users will learn basic web navigation skills and how to use INTERNET EXPLORER® browser software. This course includes a variety of websites and tips!
Class 3 Digital Communication Basics - Learn how to use the basic features of a web-based email system (practice using your current email or sign up for a new gmail account). This class will also include an overview of social media sites such as Facebook.
Class 4 Word 2010 Basics - Covers the basics of creating and manipulating simple documents. Includes highlighting text, formatting and saving.

Home Safety & Household Emergency Workshop for Babysitters

The Clifton Park/Halfmoon Emergency Corps will present this workshop for teens in grade 6 & up. Participants will learn about injury prevention, common household emergencies, childhood emergencies & illnesses and how to deal with them. Hands-on activities may round out the session. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance. Required registration begins on June 1st.
