There have been four U.S. Navy submarines named “Seawolf”. They span our recent history from 1911 through today, including both world wars, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War and present realities. Their stories of service to the United States are genuinely remarkable, manned by submariners with the courage to carry out their missions. The boats embody the radical changes in design technology as armament, electronics and nuclear power evolve over the period. In telling these stories you will get a firsthand look at how the U.S. submarine service has contributed to the defense of United States interests around the world.

The Grocer's Son: It is summer, and thirty-year-old Antoine is forced to leave the city to return to his family in Provence. His father is sick, so he must assume the lifestyle he thought he had shed: driving the family grocery cart from hamlet to hamlet, delivering supplies to the few remaining inhabitants. Accompanied by Claire, a friend from Paris whom he has a secret crush on, Antoine gradually warms up to his experience in the country and his encounters with the villagers, who initially seem stubborn and gruff, but ultimately prove to be funny and endearing. Ultimately, this surprise French box-office hit is about the coming-of-age of a man re-discovering life and love in the countryside. In French. Not rated. Light refreshments will be served.

Welcome to our Adult Summer Reading Program!
Grown-ups look forward to summer as much as kids do. They plan for time to relax, take vacations, and catch up on reading. Join Library staff this summer as we read along with the kids. Oh, and there are some really cool prizes, too!

When you’re done reading (or listening) to a book, write a one or two sentence review of what you’ve read. You can fill out a paper review or submit online. We’ll share reviews, so you can see what everyone else is reading!

With each review you submit, you’ll be entered in a weekly drawing for a gift card to a local restaurant, as well as the grand prize drawing on August 11. Weekly drawings will be held Monday afternoons from June 16-August 11.

Check out upcoming events to the left on this page.

This is the second book in the Mia Quinn mystery series. It is a great series about a middle-aged woman who works as a prosecutor in the DAs office. She is a widower raising her two children. In this book she learns her husband's death was a murder and not an accident. She sets out to find his killer along with Charlie, a homicide detective she frequently works with in the books.

Another funny one in the sequence of Alvin Ho. We laughed at all of Alvin's adventures as he went camping for the first time. Laughed throughout as we listened to this as a family. Can't wait to listen to the other 2 books
