Welcome to our Adult Summer Reading Program!

Make reading a family activity! The Adult Summer Reading Club is a great way for parents to be reading role models for their children.

Anybody can sign up—not just parents. Summer is a great time to catch up on your reading, so why not win prizes for doing something you already love?

After you register, record your username and your password. Then log back into this website every time you read a book and write a few sentences about what you’ve read. You can choose to share your reviews with other book lovers, and you can read what others have written about their favorite reads.

Each week we will draw a winner of a gift card to a local restaurant. And at the end of the summer, we will be drawing for our grand prize—a Nook Simple Touch. The more you read, the greater your chances of winning…so let’s get started!

This is book is a very poignant and terrifying account of a woman with an early diagnosis with Alzheimers. Not having personally known someone with the disease, this was truly eye opening. Excellent read but may be difficult for someone in a similar sitution.

I started reading the Melanie Travis book series last summer for the summer reading program and proudly I have stuck with it. A great series for dog-lovers the dogs play as much a role in the stories as the humans. The latest installment is based around holidays and of course includes a murder! This time it is Davey's bus drive who has been poisoned. You don't need to read this entire series in order to enjoy the books (although I have and am enjoying seeing the progression of the relationships)
