Women Secret Agents in WWII

During World War II, women secret agents of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) infiltrated Nazi-occupied France and worked with the French Resistance to disrupt and destroy vital enemy operations. Patricia DelGiorno will explore the highly-gendered cultural and military borders the women crossed in order to carry out their exceedingly dangerous missions. She will also reveal the heavy price they paid for their patriotism (capture, torture and, for some, execution).
