Start your summer on a high note and join the Library's Annual Summer Reading Program! We invite Plainview-Old Bethpage families to come together and celebrate books and reading throughout the summer.
Registration for both the adult and children's programs begins Friday, June 1.
Adults who drop by the Library to sign up on June 1 are eligible to win two tickets to either the June 10 concert "The Eagles," or the August 25 concert featuring, "Elvis!" and can also pick up a free gift while supplies last. Children go home with a coupon for a Carvel ice cream treat when registering with an adult while supplies last.
For the adult participants we offer "Chew & Chat," a mid-summer "Book Swap," on July 19 at 1pm. Join us for light refreshments as we share our favorite books and authors!
At the end-of-the-summer wrap-up party on August 2, chat with best-selling author Jenna Blum during an online Skype interview on the big screen in the auditorium. Jenna will discuss her new book, "The Lost Family," a gripping, exquisitely crafted novel with unforgettable characters who struggle through marital woes during the tumultuous 1960's. Jenna is also the author of "Those Who Save Us" and "Stormchasers."
Be on hand after the Author Chat to win prizes and continue to discuss books during the annual MARY LICATA MEMORIAL SUMMER READING AWARD presentation. The participants who have submitted the most reviews will be awarded a special gift basket, courtesy of the Licata Family.

This is a short novella #41.5 in the In Death series. Someone is hosting dangerous tea parties. Eve Dallas is called to the scene of an apparant murder suicide. Of course it's not, and Eve has to solve the mystery. Lots of Alice in Wonderland references. A good read.
