You may bring your own Windows-based laptop/netbook to class–no Apple or Macintosh computers. Students are responsible for handling their own machines. No laptop? Bring questions instead and observe.=0D=0A=0D=0ARegister for one of the multi-session courses below =0D=0A<b>Session I & II</b> signup includes BOTH Thursday and Friday=0D=0AWednesday and Friday, July 25 & 27   1:30-3:30 p.m.=0D=0Aor=0D=0A<b>Session I & II</b> signup includes BOTH Monday and Tuesday =0D=0AMonday and Tuesday, June 25 & 26     1:30-3:30 p.m.=0D=0A(To register online for the June 25 & 26 you will need to navigate to June 25 in the events calendar)  =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A<b>Session I: (REQUIRED)</b> =0D=0A<b>Securing and Navigating Your Windows-based Laptop/Netbook</b>=0D=0AThis session will review antivirus and firewall protection, software updates, file sharing options, and use of a touchpad.=0D=0A=0D=0A<b>Session II: (Prerequisite: Session I) =0D=0ALearning More About Your Windows-based Laptop/Netbook</b>=0D=0AStudents will learn about using a laptop/netbook in the library, batteries and AC power, "hot spots" for wireless Internet access, various keys, ports, and buttons. =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0ANote that on Tuesday, August 21 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. we will offer a "Learn Your Laptop/Netbook Practice Time" =0D=0APrerequisite: Completion of ANY Learn Your Laptop/Netbook Workshop offered by the library.=0D=0A=0D=0AStudents may enroll in this practice session for assistance with any particular questions they may have regarding a laptop/netbook. Bob Stromberg and Kathy Handy will be present to assist students. Windows and Apple Macintosh laptops are both welcome during this practice session. Attendance limited to 10.
