Friends of the Library Plant Swap n' Sale

Event Type: Friends Program
Date: 6/2/2018
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 12:00 PM
Join us for a "Gardening Education Event" and Gardening Book Swap in the spirit of National Garden Week!

The regular FOL Plant Swap and Sale has been cancelled this year in support of regional efforts to contain the invasive ASIAN EARTHWORM which has been spreading in our area.

Area gardeners will be able to bring related books or magazines to the Library to swap from other gardeners or to donate for sale to folks who are just beginning to garden. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Summer Reading Program.

Bring your lawn and garden questions to receive help from Master Gardeners trained by the Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Learn about invasive plant and animal species such as the Asian Earthworm (AKA the ""crazy worm"" or ""jumping worm"") and others.

Drop off soil samples for PH testing by the Cornell Cooperative Extension at a cost of $1.00 each.

We hope to resume our regular plant swap and sale next year!
