 For grades 3-5, registration required and begins two weeks prior to program. Join Kathy Ceceri, author of Musical Inventions, to learn about the science of instrument-making and create some of your own! Find out why different materials and shapes produce different sounds and discover the connection between size and high and low notes. Explore homemade instruments including the balloon drum, paper popper, cardboard "washtub" string bass, drinking straw oboe, salad "singing" bowl, wrenchophone, twirling tubes and more.
