A fascinating story about a psychologist and her patient. An interesting tale about the intersection of gender and class and how the two main characters lives were affected by their intereactions.

UNBROKEN by Laura Hillenbrand

This is the true story of Louis Zamperini. He starts out as a very troubled you who is constantly in trouble with the law. His older brother manages to turn him around and he becomes an Olympian and the a war survivor. He survives 47 days in a raft at sea and Japanese war camps. Aptly titled, he persevered through so many life’s trials and rose above them all. This is going to be a motion picture releases soon and should be as compelling as the book was. It was made into a movie which just brought the book more into reality.
