 Join the Long Island Radio and Television Historical Society for a day of history commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. Stop by in the morning to meet with local organizations and see demonstrations of radio technologies dating back to the war. The LIRTVHS will be on hand promoting their podcast, which they record at the library! While you’re here, stop by the LIRTVHS reference collection housed in the Long Island Room on the Adult Services floor. In the afternoon, George Munkenbeck, Islip Town Historian, will present a program about the Town of Islip and Sayville’s roles in World War I and the impact the war had on the community.
