The Somers Library / SHS Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG) - Thursdays from 2:00-2:30 pm in the Somers High School Library starting on Oct. 12, 2017 and running twice a month for most of the school year. What is the Teen Advisory Group? The Teen Advisory Group is made up of high school
volunteers who work together with the librarians to help create and promote library events and resources for the young adult community in Somers and to help the library to better understand teens and their needs. Why would a teen want to be in a TAG? The TAG empowers teens with a sense of responsibility and accomplishment. TAG offers leadership opportunities and community service hours (with a potential of 20+ hours), so it looks good on college resumes. The Teen Advisory Group offers the opportunity for members to create, plan, budget, publicize & implement programs for teens at the library, as well as to talk about upcoming teen books and other media for the library to purchase. For more information and to sign up, please go to the Somers Library events calendar on our website home page, call the library or email the teen librarian, at tferretti@wlsmail.org. Great book. The Baudelaire's continue their miserable lives escaping from Count Olaf, who is trying to steal their fortune. They encounter mushrooms, a mechanical monster, and a distressing message from a lost friend. Read the book to find out why the 11 addition to this series only makes it better.

Good book. The story of a great American who traveled to California during the Gold Rush mixed with the story of the San Fransisco Earthquake, 1906.
